    Meet and Greets

Our last Meet and Greet was successful even though fewer people attended. We discussed our upcoming events. We also discussed and voted on a statement that was proposed at the AANR Board regarding diversity and inclusion of all people. The statement reads as follows:

    AANR Welcomes All

AANR reaffirms its policy per its by-laws, Section I Article IV A, “AANR welcomes all people willing to conform to its principles and standards, regardless of age, gender, marital status, religious beliefs, ethnic origin or sexual orientation."

Although this has been a part of AANR bylaws for a long time, it was felt that it should be reaffirmed to the general public.

Our next clothed Meet and Greet will be on Saturday 9/11 which will be at the Hillview Restaurant which is located at 6135 Transit Road, Depew, NY.  They have a private meeting room. We will start at 5:45PM. From 5:45 to 6:00pm is a meet and greet portion with dinner starting at 6:00PM. Anybody can come to our dinner meetings. You do not have to be a member of the club and you do not need reservations. Please come, ask questions, and see what the club is all about, socialize and get to know us. The only cost is your meal and drinks.

Our Meet and Greet Dinners serve two functions. First, since our members come from a wide geographic area, it allows our members to get together and socialize. Second, it allows new people to meet our current members in a public and non-threatening environment. During this meeting, prospective members can socialize with our members, ask questions, and determine if a membership in Niagara Naturists is for them.

    Nude Thanksgiving Dinner

Our 8th annual Nude Thanksgiving Dinner at the Nudist Lodge will be on 10/9. Although we have had very good luck with this fall event, we decided to make it earlier to better the chances of good weather. This is also close to the Canadian Thanksgiving Date in honor of our Canadian Members. Hopefully, they will be able to join us.

We are now taking reservations by email for the Dinner. Ginger will supply the Turkey, dressing, and gravy. The balance will be potluck.

As you know, we need a minimum number of people in order to have this event. The Lodge is located in Wyoming County. Directions will be sent to those who RSVP.

We will be getting there around 10:00AM to set up. You may join us any time after that. Come early and enjoy the nudist freedom. The Potluck Thanksgiving Dinner will start at 5:00PM

The cost will be $20.00 for Niagara Naturists/AANR members and $25.00 for non-members.

Again, since we have to rent the Lodge, we need a minimum number of people.

Setting up events like this takes a lot of work and can become stressful. It really becomes stressful when there is only short time until the event and not enough people have signed up to pay for it. We know that it is sometimes hard for you to plan 6 weeks into the future, but please make your reservations early so that our stress level doesn't go too high. Please email your reservation to niagaranaturists@gmail.com

    Body Acceptance

AANR and Niagara Naturists have always promoted healthy body image based on who a person truly is rather than on appearance. Body acceptance is one of the main tenets of true nudism. Because you might see a naked body, you will have to watch this on YouTube after clicking on the image below.

Another Trip to Skinny Dip Falls

Some of our group are going back to Skinny Dip Falls on 8/28/21. The last time we went, we had a great time. We will gather at noon at the top of the trail for the trip to the falls.

    Westfield.

Skinny Dip Map From the intersection of Routes 394 and 20, follow Route 20 westwards for 0.3 of a mile to Chestnut Street (County Road 21) and turn left (south). Chestnut Street will turn into Sherman Road once you leave Westfield. In a little over 3.3 miles from Route 20 bear to the left (south) onto Ogden Road. In 1.5 miles turn left onto Taylor Road. In a little under 0.6 of a mile there is a parking area on the right (north) side of the road. Do not drive down the road any farther and please do not block it as it provides access to privately owned land past the parking area.

The trail leading down into the gorge can be used only by hikers to access the Chautauqua Gorge and Skinny Dip Falls. Some areas of the Chautauqua Gorge are privately owned.
