AANR East Board Meeting

As some of you know, your webmaster is on the AANR East Board. The interim Board meeting is on 1/28 and 1/29. It will be held in person at White Tail resort in Ivor, Virginia. AANR member may attend. Next Meet and Greet

Our next clothed Meet and Greet will be on Saturday 1/15/22  It will be at the Hillview Restaurant which is located at 6135 Transit Road, Depew, NY. They have a private meeting room  where we can discuss nudist topics and answer questions. We will start at 5:45PM. From 5:45 to 6:00pm is a meet and greet portion with dinner starting at 6:00PM. Anybody can come to our dinner meetings. You do not have to be a member of the club and you do not need reservations. Please come, ask questions, and see what the club is all about, socialize and get to know us. The only cost is your meal and drinks.

Our Meet and Greet Dinners serve two functions. First, since our members come from a wide geographic area, it allows our members to get together and socialize. Second, it allows new people to meet our current members in a public and non-threatening environment. During this meeting, prospective members can socialize with our members, ask questions, and determine if a membership in Niagara Naturists is for them.

Niagara Naturists events at The Nudist Lodge

We have three events scheduled at the Nudist Lodge. We have submitted the dates to the Lodge Owner and will confirm them as soon as we hear back from him.

They are:

6/11/22 potluck dinner

7/29-731 Our weekend at the lodge

10/1 our Thanksgiving dinner at the Lodge

We will also be traveling to the forth  annual Howe Caverns Naked in a Cave event. Several Niagara Naturists members are planning to attend. It will be on Saturday, September 17, 2022. we will post more information in the future.

we will also travel to Skinny Dip falls a few times during the summer.

We have also discussed traveling As a club to Ponderosa, a nudist resort in Canada, Bear Lake, or Empire Haven. We will discuss these options at our Meet and Greet dinner.

Why Nude? Why AANR?

American Association for Nude Recreation Fact Sheet 2021

 American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), founded in 1931, celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2021. AANR’s mission is to advocate on behalf of nudity and nude recreation in appropriate settings while educating and informing society of their value and enjoyment.

· Membership in AANR is a “passport to fun” and can be purchased for less than the price of a bathing suit. ·

 · Nude recreation is enjoying a revival in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. AANR serves over 52 million individuals at over 180 affiliated clubs, resorts, RV campgrounds and businesses. Over half of these are “landed” clubs which have their own grounds and facilities. Others, “non-landed” clubs and sometimes called “travel clubs,” are comprised of groups of people who plan trips to clubs with facilities or hold other social events to enjoy nude recreation. · In 2003, a Forbes article estimated that nude recreation was a $400 million a year industry, including cruises, resorts and merchandise. By 2020 it grew to what is conservatively estimated a $566 million industry.

 · Nude recreation enthusiasts are a cross-section of North America, representing a variety of ages, careers and socioeconomic levels. Typically, members are active, college educated individuals between the ages of 35-75 who enjoy outdoor recreation and activities such as swimming, tennis, volleyball, walking and hiking.

 · AANR is a gold and silver award-winning member of the American Society of Association Executives, has received four Golden Bell communications awards from the Hospitality Marketing and Sales Association International (HMSAI), two Silver Mercury Awards and an SATW Cushman Award in recent years.

For 90 years AANR has been the preeminent authority and voice in North America, staunchly protecting the freedoms and rights of those who participate in wholesome, family-style nude recreation. Socially, AANR encourages Nakation℠ vacations as healthy, eco-friendly, transformational travel experiences; while AANR’s membership demonstrates conclusively that life is enhanced by the naturalness of social nudity. Niagara Naturists/AANR membership cost is $51.00 per person.
That is substantially less than joining AANR as an associate member - not through a club.
