It was another successful and enjoyable dinner at the Holiday Showcase restaurant. Once again, several new people were in attendance. The next meeting will be at the Holiday Showcase on July 26 at 6:00pm.
Niagara Naturists will be traveling to Bare Lake Nudist Club the weekend of 7/11 - 7/13.. Bare Lake is a landed club located in the Corning NY area. Some of us are planning on going down on Friday and camping. Others are planning to travel down on Saturday and a few are planning to show up on Sunday. Your choice. Bare Lake has a small private lake with swimming and fishing available. Bare Lake web site can be found here. There will be a potluck supper on Saturday night and a campfire.
Since this event is at a landed club, you do not have to be a member of Niagara Naturist to attend and participate in the activities. This is a great opportunity for you to meet our members and so what it is all about.

The Saturday night Niagara Naturists dinner went very well. There were some new people there and there were several applications processed. We all had a good time and set the date for our next meeting and our first nude event. The next dinner meeting will be on June 28 at 6:00pm. The dinner will be at the Holiday Showcase Restaurant at 3765 Union Road in Cheektowaga. We need to have ten people in order to make this work. Also, they will not give out separate checks, so we will have a calculator available. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can be there.
At the meeting, we also approved the membership policies that have been posted on the web site for a few weeks now.
There were many suggestions for our first nudist event. Empire Haven, Steph’s Pond, Ponderosa, and Bare Lake were mentioned. After some discussion, it was decided to travel to Bare Lake on July 12. Bare Lake is a landed club located south of Corning NY. It is a relatively new club. A few of our members have attended functions there and give it a high grade. The owners are pleasant and accommodating and everybody seems to have a good time. A link to their web site can be found here.
Since this event is at a landed club, you do not have to be a member of Niagara Naturists to join in the festivities. However, the August nude event will be at a member’s home. You must be a member of Niagara Naturists to attend. The June dinner meeting is your last chance to become a charter member of Niagara Naturists.
April 26, 2014 The second organizational meeting of the new AANR non-landed club took place on Saturday night. After some discussion, the club members decided to change the name of the club to Niagara Naturists. It was felt that this name more accurately reflects the geographical area and avoids a conflict with another organization. The new web site will be www.niagaranaturists.org and is up and running. The name site will be changed to reflect the new name in a few days. (changing the name is the easy part. Changing the logo’s takes longer) The email for the club is niagaranaturists@gmail.com Several new people were in attendance. The members discussed membership policies and started planning it first nude event which will be held in late May or early to middle June. The next clothed dinner is being planned for 5/31.
March31, 2014 An organizational meeting was held on Saturday March 29th to determine if there was enough interest in starting a nudist club in the Buffalo area. The meeting was well attended, despite snow, sleet, and freezing rain, which kept some people safety in their warm houses and dreaming of spring. It was decided to start an actual club and the name "Buffalo Bares" was suggested. Everybody agreed that the name was indicative of the nature of the club and the area. It was also decided that the club would be a non-landed AANR club. There will not be a cost involved to become an AANR club because the club can use the Lilly Valley club and convert the name and the status to a non-landed club. The club will be a 100% AANR club. The club dues will include AANR membership. Dues for the club were set at $45.00 for singles and $82.50 for couples. Membership will be open to everybody but there will be a screening process for new members. After the reorganization paperwork has been filed and accepted by AANR, existing Lilly Valley memberships will automatically be transferred to Buffalo Bares. People with AANR East associate memberships can transfer their memberships to the new club. Transfer applications and membership applications will be available on the web site. It was decided to have monthly dinners, at a local restaurant, on the last Saturday of each month. The club web site will be www.buffalobares.com and should be up and running in a few days.
